The Gadget Show Modern Warfare 2 The Pit Challenge Video

The Gadget Show MW2 Challenge

The guys over at The Gadget Show (UK) not only decided to build a real life version of ‘The Pit’ from Modern Warfare 2, which is super cool, they then threw a real life SAS soldier on the course and asked him to complete it as soon as possible, which is even cooler.

Can the real world SAS soldier on the real world course beat Jason Bradbury’s best game time on the digital version of the same course? Find out below.

I don’t really think that was an accurate test just because I’m sure that the gamer got a couple accuracy bonuses which would take off some time.

@Silence258, I think the guy in the video was doing the spec ops version not the campaign version. In the Spec ops version you dont get bonuses.

The operator actually does not have an H&K MP5. He has a GSG-5; a .22 cal clone of the MP5. http://www.gsg5rifle.com/

SAS guy did pretty well. We diden’t get alot of info like did he get a practise run or did he know he could take 2 targets out with 1 burst like on the game. If he got a go on the game first to learn the layout better he may of had a better time. Either way this was pretty cool :)

lol in the game you can’t take out all the enemies from one position because in the game you have to move up for more targets to pop up.

well the thing is in games you really dont care to be killed in real life. the fact that he stood back and picked his targets off was obviously the smartest move, as it is being as true to a live combat scenario as possible

lol nice try the sas did pretty good
my best time is like 16 seconds but 17.78 hitting only enemies no joke. 2nd try too. thing is the game is harder coz u can run and reload in real life-in the game, well, you can only walk and reload

@John, What? The game is harder than real life?
Can you actually reload a gun and sprint at the same time in real life?
I have complete respect for ‘SID’, at least he wasn’t sitting on his butt watching a TV and thinking it was a fair comp.

35 seconds? thats not very good at all…the achievment is what 30? and i got like 15 as my best with the bonuses and like 24 without (Spec ops) maybe the brits have less of a overall skill level? jk

We have less of an overall skill level? That’s rich, I bet your from the US, not that I have anything against you. Anyway, if you did the MW2 thing in real life, you’d die in like 5 seconds, so Sid actually did the more genuine thing.

P.S. To everyone that thinks Sid is from the SAS, Jason just said he was Special Forces, so he could be SBS (Special Boat Service) or The SRR (Special Reconnaissance Regiment) to name a few. He only used the weapon of choice of the SAS.

the real life on would be easyier cuz u could sprint faster than the gameplay and reload while sprinting and u could reload like u have slight of hand so someone could be better that the man who did that and won the challenge

i swear jason didnt win cos on the game time is subtracted for accuracy its not just a striaght time like 100% accuracy equals five seconds! so did he really win?
