Still Hope For Modern Warfare 2 Survival Mission
There May Still Be A Survival Mission
Some interesting details from a Game Informer article reveals that not all missions in the new game mode in Modern Warfare 2, Special Ops Mode, will be timed (complete in fastest time possible) like Mile High Club from the end of Call of Duty 4.
Game Informer spent time with Activision at Gamescom and got to speak about Special Ops Mode. Nazi Zombie fans may still get their fix of killing waves of enemies, but don’t expect to see a zombie in sight… that’s for sure!
“Each Special Ops mission will be unique based on mission structure, some asking you to meet a time requirement and others to perform an objective.”
I was under the impression that all the missions would be timed, like MHC, but as you can see this won’t be the case. The statement above means that there could very well be a survival mission (similar to zombie mode but without zombies), or a terrorist hunt mission like Rainbow Six Vegas 2.
Infinity Ward have included a snowmobile race scenario in Special Ops Mode so I’m sure a survival mission isn’t out of the question! Considering Special Ops Mode will “rival the Campaign in length” IW will need to include many different scenarios.
Great news in my opinion. Lots of different side games, not just get to point B as-soon-as-possible.

Looks good, I hope there is a survival mode and with something other than zombies I think it would be good.

hmmmmmmmm. I like zombies but I still would like to know how this will work out. Will the enimes be armed? Will u ever be saved? Will there be a ray gun? Infact will there be any weapons on a wall or in a box?

If there was a Survival mission in Special Ops then nobody knows exactly how it would work except IW.
There wouldn’t be a ray gun and i doubt it would be anything like the Zombie Mode in W@W.
The enemies would be armed (like they are in other Special Ops missions).
Will you ever be saved? If you mean revived then yes you will be able to revive your partner in some Special Ops missions.

Survival mode must be a part of the game. Its a sapple in the game and must be carried over to the next COD. Just like the run button was kept after COD3, and perks after COD4, so zombies/survival mode should be kept after COD5.

zombies are so gay. If there is some sort of zombies in MW2 i will never play it EVER. MP and campaign only for me thank you
