OXM UK Modern Warfare 2 Hands On Verdict
L85 Assault Rifle Confirmed
October’s issue of Official Xbox Magazine (UK) features a Modern Warfare 2 “Hands-on verdict”.
Inside the article you will find details which include a double barreled shotgun that is fired using the left and right triggers, much like the new dual wield or ‘Akimbo‘ feature that was revealed early this week.
Amongst the article is a screenshot of a Humvee with a mini-gun on top crossing what looks like a damaged bridge with caption “Nothing like a convoy to get the blood flowing”.
OXM – “A level deals with a satellite that the evil Kazakh-types are working on, which may reflect that the over-arching storyline is due to deal with space based things in general. In an earlier build, we slyly spotted a level, or perhaps a sequence, labeled ‘International Space Station’. So make of that what you will.”
Probably the most notable of all the new info in the OXM article is the confirmation of a new Assault Rifle. It’s a weapon that a large percentage of the Call of Duty community have been requesting for Modern Warfare 2…. The L85 (SA-80) British Assault Rifle!
