Modern Warfare 2 Tops Pre-Order Charts

Call of Duty fans cant wait to get their hands on Modern Warfare 2

By the look of the video game pre-order charts, Activision’s statement “We want to propel this year’s title to be the biggest selling video game of all time”, could be exactly what Modern Warfare 2 becomes.

There is still 6 months to wait for Modern Warfare 2 to be released and it has already topped the Xbox 360 and PS3 pre-order charts. With the game being this popular with so long until the release date (11-10-09), and the Call of Duty franchise having such a strong fan base already established, Activision can rest assured that Modern Warfare 2 is looking good to sell as well as Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare did before it (11 million).

Probably the most impressive thing about so many people ordering the game so long before release date is that no gameplay, screenshots or official details about the game have been released yet. Obviously the Call of Duty gamers have a lot of confidence in Infinty Ward making Modern Warfare 2 the game that they are hyping it up to be.
