Modern Warfare 2 .. A Brief History

Modern Warfare 2 is an upcoming first-person shooter video game from Infinity Ward for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. Officially announced on February 11, 2009, the game will be published by Activision and is due for release November 10, 2009.

Modern Warfare 2 is a sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare which was hugely successful selling over 11 million copies worldwide. As with its predecessor, the game will be set like the title suggests, in modern times.

Speculation is rife amongst the Call of Duty community as to what Infinity Ward will do with Modern Warfare 2 to make it stand out above the rest of the many games in the genre. As of yet Infinity Ward have confirmed very little details about the game other than a teaser which included no actual gameplay footage. Call of Duty fans wait with bated breath!
