Look at it like this guys not everyone has the same objective. Take me I’m 63 yrs old and I love/hate this game, why does this old fart play you say!, because when I was young none the this stuff was around and now I dont have the dexterity in my fingers to round around with a knife at a hundred miles an hour, so depending on the map I usually snipe. I have played for about 8 or9 days now steam time and I’m at prestige 1 level 57 and almost completed all the challenges for the Barrett .50 cal. This style allows me to be competitive and it will be an achievement to reach Prestige 10, plus the longer you play the more you learn about the maps, like how do you get to the building on top of the stone blocks in the Quarry Map (you need a partner for this), so you see its up to the individual to get what he or she wants out of the game. Who cares if your good at it or not, it doesnt put food on the table!

dont hate on my gamertag. The Ultimate goal is obviously getting to 10th prestige without 10th prestige lobbies or hacks. I’m 17 and im on 3rd prestige rank 46 and my kill/death ratio is 1.36 and i dont want to hear about all the lies about how much higher yours is than mine. Isnt 1.36 legit? Anyways the game has been out long enough for the game nerds to find out hacks and glitches- that by the time we find them out they are patched the care package glitch for example.

@dude123, that’s not that bad, mines right around 1.93. it was 2.56 at its peak but when i prestige each time ( currently at 3rd) it goes down due to the fact that i can’t use most of my favorite guns. now my accuracy is pretty DANK its 24.01 average.. has been as high as 24.40

@i’ll BE BACk!, to get the next emblem you have to go into your barracks and click on prestige mode then continue through the crap, and then you will start all over again. You would have to get all of the guns and the only thing you keep each time you prestige is your Titles and Emblems!

I only had a look at this site cos it showed the badges for each prestige and I can’t believe some of the d**ks on here. Doing prestige over and over does not increase your cock size or what other gamers think of you. Its personal acheivement. As for the leaderboards, they are pointless too with all the boosters sitting at the top. Prestige was made for one reason by IW, to keep you interested and buy the maps=MONEY for IW.

I have to agree that it is about goals. I just got the game a week or so ago and am almost to level 50 and the closer I get to level 70 the more I ponder prestiging. I like completing all of the challenges for each weapon but I heard each time you prestige you start over. So if my goal is to complete the weapon challenges why prestige?

I like apocalypse’s post. Good going Ol’ man haha. I must admit when i was a kid pong was like MW2. But all in all, it is fun. I have prestiged once and will do it until 10th. the young to old play MW2. If you want to be at LV70 and have all your weaponds, go for it, I am consistantly ranked above them all the time. this is just a fun game to play, the worst partis to have a 24 killstreak and get killed and wish you had hardline on. Apocolypse have fun glad your in it, as for me in the 40 plus club I will be camping, and runing and gunning and having fun while everyone else complains about the game. does anyone ever use the mic to actually help your team survive? lot of radio blaring, name calling stupidity going on.

I try to use the mic to help my team but rarely find people who do the same. Communication can easily separate winners from losers in certain game modes (flags, domination, HQ, sabotage and for sure Search & Destroy)
If you have a mic and you aren’t calling out snipers, warning your team about ambushes or calling for some offense. With sabotage this is key… if you work as a team to move the bomb and control their site it’s difficult to lose the match – but if half the team is wandering around being dorks it usually ends up a draw…

ok so i personaly believe that prestige is what makes the game worth playing. because for me i play to achieve the goals and have fun. if someone can have fun without prestiging well good for them. and with the whole camping thing, its part of the game and if you keep being killed by campers then olbviously you should work on your strategy. same with grenade launchers and every other “cheap” thing in the game. it was put in there for a reason, and if you arent good enough to figure out a way to get past it then boo-hoo.

@RaPiiD CoBRa, stay where your comfortable. ya know there is so much in this game to achieve it would take a long long time to do it. from LV70 10 prestige, to getting all the icons,banners, mastery of this gun that gun. so the game is never really going to be over until you complete every challenge etc. I think it is fun t get comfortable with your guns, and loose them to appreciate what you had, but it also fine tunes your skills. ya know what my biggest pet peeve is about players besides the mic stuff, is when you are “camping” which i do on occasion, and another person on your team knifes you to death to try to get you out of that spot, sometime it gets you both killed, anyways happy gaming, see you on PSN ~ redwords

To get on the building I beleive you need a partner with a silenced spas12 shotgun, basically you jump and he shhots you, the blast from the gun pushes you up. It has to be silenced though because an unsilenced one will kill you every time. It helps if you do this with pain killer on to better your survival chances.

this is an awesome game i played WAW that lead me into MW2 i did prestige in WAW but felt it was not a very big ahievement to me so WM2 i am one of them lvl 70 who wants to master a few guns and styles. Yes the gamers can be “cheaters” but they put all the stlyes in this to make the game, so what i do is change with the mods of the other players. you need runin, campin, and gunin to make the whole game work. learning how to move around the map and kill is the key we all want so thankyou noobs for easy kills and vets for the hard kills lol look me up xboxers

I have a play time of 9 days at this current time, just passed 9 days i think its about 1h past and i am 3rd Presige rank 54, i have got all challenges for Intervention and ACR finished and i have got EMP, Taktical Nuke, Chopper gunner, AC130, Harriars, Helicopter, Stealth Bomber and Pave low moving emblems.

I have actually just spent 20 minutes reading through all the threads. And totally agree with everyone that has mentioned this is all about fun. And that the mics should be used to help co-ordinate and stream attacks. Is a shame so many people disrespect this and end up spending hours slating each other and making comments about mums. My nephew is not allowed a mic as there is so much abuse and swearing. This is meant to be for all ages, so respect others. And for campers, what is the issue, people can do what they want. Having a variety is what makes the game. I would maybe camp behind a tree and take people out as I watch my team running in. Is a tatical move and nothing wrong in that. But would not bore myself in staying in one place the whole game hiding behind a door of something as want to help my team and get involved, but that is my personal choice. My kill\death ratio is rubbish as when I first started out I was so bad and have a lot of work to pull it back. Mine is 0.87, but now am always getting more kills to deaths. My target is to go up in the prestige levels and bring my k\d ratio up. But playing domination, the point of the game is to win the flags and you can leave yourself open, so that is my excuse

well me and my clan use our mics to comunicate. warn each other about stuff snipers, campers, ambush, etc. we win most of our games. i think everyone should do so with their team/clan very useful. if u dont have a mic i think you should get one. ps u dont have to listen to the people yelling at campers and w/e there is a mute button u look at score board and MUTE no listening lol.

Ok, first off I want to laugh at all the kids in here talking about world affairs on a videogame forum. You guys are awesome. Keep it up, its giving me some thing to laugh about.
No, on to my next subject. please tell me how any game mode besides S&D is stratigic. Any game mode that allows respawn is far from stratigic because if you die who cares, you get to come back with more ammo and now you know where the enemy is. LOL Yea, thats really statigic huh……………..
On to campers………All I can say about campers is the = pathetic scrubs. If you’re scared to get into a gunfight or something try playing something like Viva Pinyata or however you spell it. Or better yet, go grab a Wii and play some kiddy game. Most kids that camp do so because they suck at this game and know no other way to try to play it.
Next subject – People talking up their clans like they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. Come one now, You cant all think you’re actually the greatest team on the game. I’m not going to come in here and say my team is the best but I bet my team will give every team that has been listed in here a run for their money. If you want to prove me wrong or just want to have a friendly scrim add my. My PSN is C4_On3Sh0T Second 0 is zero. But lets play by legit gun skills only. No kill streaks or anything. Just a straight gun fight to see who has the better team. We get beat, awesome…..I’ll say good game and talk about scrimming more often. MW2 is a fun game, and some ppl do get obnoxiously boastful online, but it’s a game, right? We have the freedom to run and gun, or set up camp. There’s too many of u saying, “i hate this, i hate that….” Wait……this is a game, right? Just making sure……because to some ppl, “if ppl don’t play a certain way, or don’t play the way they want………..wait for it………..wait……….okay, then those ppl are going to “Complain!” hahaha. Just be happy, that video games exsists, aren’t u?
Wait……..I extremely, extra-whole-heartedly love clans that dominate for 1 or 2 rounds, maybe stretch it to 3 rounds, then…….BAM!!!! they get dominated, blind-sided, EMP’d, nuked! Then at the lobby screen, all u hear is, “fcking campers, u s**t campers, camp, camp, campers….” I also love when i randomly get teamed with a clan, and i’ll get 30 – 35 kills, the clan…..let’s be generous, will get 5 – 8 kills and 1,000 deaths(exagerated…) then at the lobby they’ll say how good they are? really?…..uhhh okay? hahaha.
Big shout out to all u Clans that are good, even almost…….legendary. hahaha Some of you are really good as a team, thanks for keepin the game fun, see you all out on the field, hopefully the game field and not a real war………

I’ve played Call of Duty since Modern Warfare I. And just like every game that’s a multiplayer, you’re gonna have a bunch of bullsh*t involved – hacks, campers, glitchers…and who knows what other stupid sh*t. What can you do other than make sure you damn well own their a**es? And of course, yell camping c*nt when they shoot your a** from some r****ded glitch. But, you can’t really get mad at someone because they don’t have the balls to play the game and have to sit and hide somewhere. I’m in a clan myself, though I wouldn’t say we’re the best. It’s just a bunch of us that like to roll together because we make the game a good time, even when we’re getting owned. Though, I’ll say, a lot of clans are notorious for being campers. And for those that say they’re the best, you don’t know what you’re talking about because there’s always going to be someone better than you. Sorry to say it. I’m good, but I still have my off days. I’ll tell you what though, more chicks need to play this damn game because I’m tired of stupid idiots wanting to call me a corner w***e cause they just got their a**es kicked by a female. Wow I so got a kick out of the earlier comments hahaha ANYWAY, I camp about as much as I run around like a sadistic maniac and I’m headed for 10th Prestige damn straight! None of my friends in the city I live in play this game at all (losers) so I don’t have a clan nor to any clans want new joiners I know of.. I do however want to start a CAMP clan for fun and have 6 to 8 players strategized some maps to where we all head to a camp location near our starting point so when they look for us, we all help each other out and blow them away from the bushes or whatever =D
so they’ll be running around like dummies while alll of us are hiding which it’ll be freakin’ funny!!
