@Jabsaw, bling does not help sniping, i think this guy quickscopes, and thermal is good for only long range, a simple fmj will do a thermal is for afghan and underpass(kinda). i quickscope, and i find bling useless! but otherwise i agree totally with what ur saying
and throwing knives just for winning killcams pretty much

Moonunit, there’s no such thing as a weak or “noob” perk. It’s rock/paper/scissors. If you have enemies that are using a lot of smoke, thermal sees through it, provided there’s no cold blooded being used.
Every perk, attachment and playing style has a counter. Campers… hit em with toobs. Heartbeat sensor… ninja. et cetera. Claymores.. scrambler or sitrep
Often when people complain about “noob” perks it’s simply because they don’t like using the perks that counter them. That doesn’t make them noob perks, but rather the other person is refusing to adapt to the situation.

@x ClUtCH x OaSiiS, exactly, ACR with stopping power kills with 5 bullets, without stopping power its 6. It’s like that with all weps with the same amount of dmg than the ACR, so yeah, the damage count doesnt matter much. Fire rate on the other hand and accuracy is another thing..

i dont know about modern warfare 2, only played the first modern warfare and in the first game i played mostly has a sniper, most maps had wide open areas for sniping support and i think i did ok, is the second game a less sniper friendly game?
im currently trying bad company 2, a great game, but i dislike the rocket launcher spams i find in some maps, is this also happening in CODMW2 with lots of rocket launcher spam noobs?
for those that tried B:BC2 and CoDMW2 is it worth to get modern warfare 2 cwhich oen you enjoyed the most?

@underdark, i think so, there are still some rocket spamming noobs but not as many, bad company 2 also has about the same range for shotguns as they do for assault rifles lol so in mw2 u cant shoot people across the map with a shotgun. but ya i get it unless your saving up for a “great game.” by the way pay no attention to the rating of the games because most ratings are very opinionized.like the batman movie a few years back was highly rated and most people i know hated it. its all a matter of opinion, cuz the raters have one opinion while u might have a different one. so ya dont get a game cuz tons of people rated it good i suggest renting it before buying or play it at a friends house. i suggest renting because you can get a better feel for the game but thats your call i guess.

Try using your Scar with a Silencer while having a secondary of a PP2000 with FMJ, being that the Scar doesnt have a large muntions clip. As for perks, try using Sleight of Hand Pro, Stopping Power Pro, and Commando. I find that Sleight of Hand works especially well with the Scar since it only takes as many as 3 shots to kill someone with the Scar (for me anyway). On a good day (I had a good day yesterday), I can average about 40/5 or better a game playing Headquarters (I play Headquarters since theres no Kill amount like in TDM (Team DeathMatch). As for Killstreaks, I use Harrier Strike, Chopper Gunner, and Tactical Nuke. Thats where Sleight of Hand comes in handy. By using Sleight, you get kills faster/easier which gets you your Harrier faster. Use your Harrier, get your
Chopper, then let loose.

@bob, actually it does count toward your next kill streak. however killstreak rewards aquired through care packages, emergency air drops, and the sentry gun drop do not. doesnt matter if they are your own or stolen, simply do not count for anything more than score. so if you are going for a nuke dont bother picking that s**t up in games with kill limits.

Try using the Foregrip on your Spas-12. Red Dot does nothing for you (in a proven experiment that Iron sights, Red Dot, and Holographic Sights all have the same scope range and do not affect your gun. By using the Grip, you can better efficently maneuver the Spas as to killing people who are close, since you can basicALLY “SNIPE” somebody with a Spas.

The FMJ does not really add any damage to your weapon. This has been proven. It just helps with bullet penetration. To see the proof look up Modern Warfare 2 in depth on YouTube and watch the episode on FMJ. Thought it would help.

Ive gotten almost 20 nukes by now… i have used Ump45 with silencer most of the times and some other random weps… theres no really best class… i change weps like underwear… take something you feel like having and go for it… Harrier-Chopper-Nuke is my recommended killstreaks for a easy nuke
