K thanks for the response. On kotaku there guessing 150.00 or 189.99 it looks. i’m hoping not but it does look nice! and there isn’t any online perks to this? like with WaW there was EXP bonus i think or a gun at beginning. Still doesn’t beat this edition, Thanks MD2 devs and co creators.

Hardened is likely what I’ll be going with, my current pair of night vision goggles are still in good working order.
[Reply]
Shyt is DOpe !
[Reply]
damn shame proper NVGs are not allowed in australia, maybe it wont ship to australia. then again, to cost 149$ US would mean they would be not the best of quality NVG’s so maybe that would allow it…lol will proly still buy hardened though haha, has all the stuff you need, just no NVGs, and in my budget range!

@Hadou1 – Nothing like that has been announced.

These NVG’s do not appear to be fake from the limited visuals in the video. They appear to be the original Generation 0 tech first used in WW2. Those LED’s project an infared beam (imagine a tv remote) that bounces off objects and is converted to an image by the NVG lens. Cheap to make, limited in range (less than 50 feet) but definately functional. US military currently use generation 4 NVG’s which cost thousands of dollars and do not require an ir illuminator. For the display factor alone, i reckon your getting a pretty good deal. Either way, IW wouldn’t risk the publicity by stating they are functional and then releasing fakes. Don’t expect military specced NVG’s and you wont be dissapointed.
[Reply]
With the NVG’s be illegal in OZ, these use the same old school tech available in manyh kids “spy” toys which are available in OZ, so i dont see it as an issue. I recon if anything OZ will get shafted with the number of available prestige editions, as OZ are generally an afterthough after the UK and US markets.
