Modern Warfare 2 Perks
It is essential to optimise your custom classes if you want to be effective in Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer. Not only will you need to choose the correct weapons for your play-style, game type or map, you will also need to consider the best combination of perks for each class. Here are the perks you have to choose from.
To earn the pro version of a perk you must complete challenges related to the standard version.

@Dario, it means that if someone aims at you from the hip the white lines on the crosshair wont go red like they would normally

@Dario, when the enemy targets your player, it wont come up with the red crosshair, or your name.

@Dario, when somebody has their crosshairs on you it will turn red and your name appears over your body.
This perk stops that from happening making it more difficult to be randomly spotted by somebody scanning through the trees etc.

Hey I’m just wondering what One Man Army actually does cause I’ve been using it, but it doesn’t change the class right away like it says it does. Whats the point of it when I can change it when I spawn any time?

@Matthew, the point is to have the ability to change classes mid-streak. So you can change your class without dying.

@Drew, Yeah the change is fairly cool. Best used if you have a preferance with one wep and tend to run out of ammo or need more ammo at any point. When used it refils all grenades/launchers/RPGs and ammo which is really good if your going for longer life spans.

@Gary, just use scavenger then scavenger pro, and u get a secondary weapon and extended mags. plus u pick stuff up off people that die. thats good with claymores also cause when someone runs into it u can just plant another one so when they come back again.
Matthew, I didn’t understand this at first either but you actually need to change weapons and it will come up – (Xbox button ‘y’)

Why the **** does it force you to lose a standard perk’s benefit when “up”grading to “pro?” For instance, look at Stopping Power. Increased bullet damage is AWESOME, right? Well, not when you “up”grade it — that’s right, you now get to do more damage when shooting at HELICOPTERS! (Although you’re shooting against enemy players 99.9% of the time!) And how ’bout that Commando “pro?” Increased melee distance is cool, right? Well, not after you “up”grade it! Instead of being able to knife someone from five feet away, which saves your life half the time, you now get NO FALL DAMAGE! (Although you NEVER die from falling!) Honestly! :/ On the other hand, perk upgrades like Sleight of Hand rule.

@Justin, When you upgrade a perk the standard ability remains and you get the benefit of the added extra pro ability. So if you have commando pro you can still knife that far and you won’t take any damage from falling.

@kingcod, Yeah ****************** what he said. You should try camping when the other team does you dildo. Its not that bad. I personally hate camping but I hate dying more so sometimes I have to camp. And if that doesn’t work then I also have a nube tube class. That’ll usually work too.

@kingcod, Or try playing a different gametype that requires players to go to a certain point. Like hardcore headquarters. You really shouldn’t be playing anything but hardcore anyways. If you play deathmatch everybody is just going to camp. Cod 4 was the same way. They aren’t going to ban people or camping.

just want to ask, if I was in the process of upgrading my Danger close perk, and I used a predator missile to kill say 3 guys, would those 3 kills count towards my kills needed to upgrade danger close to Pro?
