Modern Warfare 2 Played Over Justin.tv
It was kind of inevitable, but someone, somehow, has got their hands on a copy of Modern Warfare 2 fifteen days before release day. A French guy called koula60 streamed live footage of himself playing Modern Warfare 2 over fr.Justin.tv earlier today. The resulting footage was captured by a quick thinking viewer which you can watch below.
Third person view is now available in private matches and two gamemodes/playlists called ‘3rd Person Team Deathmatch’ and ‘3rd Person Cage Match’.
[UPDATE] 402 on 3rd Person View – “It’s not something you can toggle on and off in ANY game,” said Bowling. The special mode can only be played in private matches — toggled on or off just like “Hardcore” settings — or in playlists that are designated for third-person play. According to Bowling, everyone playing in a third-person playlist will be restricted to the viewpoint. “This is just another cool way to play the game,” he said, “you obviously will still have the option to play gametypes normal as well.”
We learnt today that Last Stand has made back it into Modern Warfare 2. We can also add Final Stand to the list of Deathstreak rewards. Final Stand joins Painkiller, Martyrdom and Copycat on the Deathstreak reward list.

Really? Third person? That’ll only take people away from the first person experience. What happens when you do play third person? Optics on the gun wouldn’t matter.
To me just sounds like a wast of time. No need for it really.

Did anyone notice the bling on the 50 cal. One attachment was heartbeat but the other one looked like a special bullet. Maybe the fmj seen in flag runner. 402’s keeping his mouth shut about 3rd person. They must be dissapointed…

the first vid is not modern warfare 2 3rd person its a game exclusively to PS3 called Socom navy seals this video is just edited with some mw2 footage and HUD come on, why would they put a 3rd person mode in it really is a s**t idea!

Soo, from what I could see, I counted 16 MP maps, without being able to tell if there was a side scroll bar. If this is all the MP maps at launch I must say I’m a bit disappointed, as I can recall seeing an interview where one of the IW devs was asked about the number of maps and his only reply was “lots.” 16 doesn’t strike me as “lots.” Oh well, I’m sure I’ll still play the poo out this game.

Ahhh, so you have, my apologies. I remember seeing that and thinking that those couldn’t possibly be the only maps because the dev said “lots.” Although I am quite certain this will be the best game ever, I’m still feeling let down after seeing in-game proof of only 16 maps at launch. Hopefully the DLC is early and often. I’d be happy to pay $10 a month for the next two years if they can keep up!
