@m@tej, riley isnt dead when riley was buried alive with that corpse he took the corpses jaw bone and clawed his way through the dirt it took him 2 days then when he was out he was found by some texas sherriff and he was part of a group called ghost but the other reason they called him ghost was because “he came back to life” because he was buried in a grave. riley=ghost

For everyone who thinks Ghost aint Gaz, all ya have to do is listen to the obvious similarities of the way they talk (an im not talking about them havin the same voice actor), ther lines like “Lets do this!” (they both say that in pretty much the same kinda situation) or the way its always the taking the piss out of comand (example: COD4(on the bridge when comand says they cant send anyone ) gaz says “useless w****r!” or “Oh, he’s got to be taking the piss!? We just busted our arses to get to this LZ and now they want us to go all the way back down?!” and in COD6 in takedown ghost says: Bollocks the skies are clear send a chopper over
and then: Commands got their head up their arse we’re on our own.
Its just the way their like aggressive wen they talk its the same kind of script.
They’ve just got so much in common, and about the hack, IW could have made an accurate shot in the head if they wanted to, it was obvious someone would want to hack the game to figure out the truth, so I think they didn’t accurately put the gun to Gaz’s head, just so that people would wonder about this kind of thing, it makes the anticipation for the continuing game even higher, and although the anticipation would have been pretty much the same, i bet when they saw that vid on youtube about gaz not being dead got a couple of extra sales. And plus by people making webs here an there for discussions about this only widens the publicity about the game, in fact for a lot of people its an obsession, trying to figure out weather gaz is dead or ghost is gaz, etc.
And also like in COD4 gaz plays the second in command part, ghost plays second in command most of the MW2 game. So bottom line is its a GAME, and people created it to make cash, and a good way to make it more popular is to keep people wondering, and like i said before that creates more anticipation about the games plot and there for more sales are made and more cash is made.

@Grim Joker, No Ghost isn’t Sgt.Riley, but he says the mask is the tribute to his old friend Sgt.Riley, and Riley is dead, that’s why he has the Simon and Riley part in his name: Simon “Ghost” Riley, the ghost of simon riley

@andy, yes , but Infinity Ward didnt have any intentions of people seeing it from that angle, because i dont think any video game developer would want answers to be revealed by their fans using cheats and hacks that have not been officialy created by any infinity ward. if you wer trying to keep a secret and didnt want anybody to know , but you had a specific date and time you wanted to tell people, you wouldnt want people creeping around looking for stuff to try to find out your secret.BUT, you can survive a headshot, very unlikely. write me back on my email for any replies, for i wont be on this site again, i found it on google.

I just thought of this. Ghost wears a mask because when he was Gaz he was shot in the head, and if messed up his face really bad so he uses the baklava to cover his face. BAM.

My friend and I were looking for the real truth about Ghost’s death…We went on game spot official site,and this is what Robert Bowling(creator of MW2) said:”Ghost is not one person.It’s a team(group) of special soldiers which are named GHOST.”
That’s enough to understand everything,and I think that everything becomes clearer when you read this words.I know that all this might be VERY funny,but we will see who will laugh when the game comes out…

@Jim, Your right the game doesn’t state his rank but he’s according to Wiki a Lieutenant and second in command under SOAP. which makes sense…. I think that changes after Price comes back tho.
