To be honest, quickscoping is the thing that has ruined Modern Warfare 2. It’s not that i have anything against QuickScoping, it’s just that everyone is doing it, and well… its clear that not everybody is good at it. In about every Search and Destroy match i join, there is some wannabe OpTic guy who tries to QuickScope everybody in the game(and fails completely). That’s the main reason why I’m not a very big fan of QuickScoping. Most of the time you will have time to pull out your secondary if you’re using a handgun or the M93 Raffica if you get too close.
On the other side I’ve seen alot of people who can do it without ruining the game for other people. I think it’s really cool to watch someone pro at QuickScoping.
Also, it’s not a shame to hardscope. After all, that’s how you were meant to snipe in the first place.

I quick scope and no-scope on small maps like scrapyard
but i also drag scope with the intervention i think its easy to get 20+ kills a game that way

@admin, im a sniper and to people who think snipers in mw2 dnt do CQC.They do i get rite in front of my targets and they do kill me but most of the time im the one on top Why: well my sniping technic is too have Slight of hand pro stopping power pro(or jus regular)
Steady aim or commando pro so when u fall u dnt die Sniper: use an INTERVENTION or Barret 50 cal TO THE ADMIN: you are right about routes though i have two routes for each map defense-offense in Search and Destroy. My style of sniping is to do both CQC and long range i dnt camp i moving almost all the time onley time i camp when i play sd i camp by the bomb for defense offense i just run and gun untill i die Intervention Fmj any camo secondary is either Tac knife or spas 12 fmj or ex mags any quistions comment?

Yeah these are a few good tips im looking forward to that resurgence pack in 3 days…Im a pretty good sniper, But the little hit boxes thing made me an even better sniper. Im a PS3 user and sniping is one of the best things to do on MW2. If you wanna snipe together send, me GHOST21999 A REQUEST TO ADD A FRIEND!!! See ya guys…

Akimbo pistols are pretty damn fun, but so are akimbo Raffica’s. Raffica’s kill in 1 burst though, so maybe get 75 kills with them and then dual wield that s**t.

I highly suggest for everyone to use the intervention for a while just because it makes you amazing at sniping in everyway since you can’t afford misses

@wannabe Qscoper, most of my problems come from my scope randomly aiming way up in the air some times while quickscoping otherwise, I get first place alot in my clans quickscope matches. it could be almost anything, all comes down to practice.

@garand91, why wouldn’t K/Ds matter, this isn’t halo where no one uses real tactics and run straight out and unload whole clips to kill people.
