Mission 4 – ‘No Russian’

This mission is completely optional and you are not required to finish it if you wish not to. That said, you play as PFC Joseph Allen as he attempts to win Makarov’s trust; in this case by joining in a shooting at a Russian airport. Follow Makarov and his men through the airport; you do not have to shoot a single bullet through this section. Once you get outside, prepare to face a squad of police in riot gear.

The riot police are armed with shields so you’ll do little damage using a rifle from a distance. Equip the grenade attachment to your rifle and lob grenades behind the police to take a number of them out at a time and keep moving forward; regular hand grenades also do the trick. Try sneaking around behind the police near the airplanes on the left but be sure to steer clear of any jet engines that are on fire as they’re moments away from exploding.

Keep heading forward, following Makarov and his men as you do so. Once you reach the second inlet in the building to the right Makarov leads you and your comrades down a corridor to a waiting ambulance that will be the getaway vehicle. As the story unfolds before you, the mission ends.
