Mission 15 – Loose Ends

As Roach, you, along with Ghost must reach a cabin where Makarov is said to be hiding out. As you head down the hillside with the rest of your squad land mines fly out of the ground. Avoid their blast by falling to the ground before moving on.

Enemies surround you in the ambush; run into the smoke that your teammates have created to avoid being taken out by the enemy mortars. As you near the cabin three vehicles attempt to make a getaway. There’s nothing you can actually do here, just let your allies’ javelins stop them in their tracks before heading over to the cabin.

Breach the door under the wooden stairway into the basement and take out the enemies there in slow motion. Breach into the other rooms on the lower level to clear it before heading upstairs. Breach into the locked rooms upstairs to find that Makarov is not there.

Log onto Makarov’s computer to begin a data transfer of all of the records stored there. After initiating the file transfer go back downstairs and stock up on weapons in the armory as you must defend the modem box until all of the files have been transferred.

Plant claymores around the entrances of the building to stave off any enemies that try to enter. You must hold off Makarov’s men as they try to destroy the modem. Continually move around the entire cabin shooting at enemies from every window to cover the most ground. Ghost will tell you when the modem starts to take too much damage; when he does that focus on finding the enemy doing it.

Once all of the files have transferred over grab the modem and follow the objective marker down the hill to the LZ. Take out any enemies you meet but don’t stick around too long as your priority is simply to get out of there.

As you reach the bottom of the hill a blast knocks you down while Ghost picks you up and pulls you toward the LZ. You can fire on the enemies here but you don’t have to. As you stand back up and reach the LZ the true villain becomes known and the mission ends.
