Modern Warfare 2 Booster Hunting
The team here at MW2Blog think that boosting is wrong. It is akin to cheating and the people that boost deserve to be hunted down like dogs, something we like to call ‘booster hunting’.
Well, we were glad to spot a video on Youtube entitled ‘Modern Warfare 2: Booster Justice’ in which Sandy Ravage not only feels the same as us about boosters but he even goes as far as to follow them from game-to-game just to ruin their boosting sessions. We loved the resulting footage of one night’s booster hunting so much that we had to share it with you.

dude that is so funny I do this s**t all the time on 3rd person 1v1 they ask for headshots I say “sure” then I kill them till they leave the game then follow them to the same lobby lol!!!!!

@Sevifoley, Boosters are players who use the game mechanics to kill a buddy of theirs over and over again to get an easy nuke, headshots, kills or so on. Basically the idea is to level up as fast as possible. They use tactical insertions and specific perks to make sure that they will never be found and they can just respawn over and over again… if you don’t already know, Tactical Insertions make you respawn in the place you chose, and the way they’re using it, they can just kill their buddy about 20 times before the game is even 3 minutes in. It really is imoral and just pisses gamers off that are actually trying to have a good game… So just scroll up and watch the videos, they really explain themselves

I think that Cagematches are fine though, like getting Challenges done for whatever reason, It doesn’t ruin any other peoples fun, and the price to pay is a worse k/d ratio (usually averaging a 1.0 k/d which for most players is a downside).

we should make a list of every boosters game tag and post it so IW can ban them or at least do something its annoying.. i did my justice though, boosters at Afghan got a nuke but i had one too but they had no clue and i just blew it before they had a chance. it was funny haha serves them right

Did some serious booster hunting this weekend. I’m amazed how they all seem to use the same spawn spots on maps, it is so predictable. Watching the kill feed was a great tip. Although, maybe this is a PS3 thing, I couldn’t figure out how to follow these douche bags once they left a game. Good times, good times.

Sounds like we have a buthurt booster her. Of course he will use Marathon, Lightweight and Ninja when he’s hunting scrub boosters like you, he want’s to get to the booster spots as fast as possible, did you think of that you dumbf**k? Besides, using those 3 perks is completely fine as long as you don’t use them with Akimbo shotguns or use Commando as the third perk. Commando and Akimbo Shotguns is mostly used by scrubs as using neither of them takes no skill at all. Most good players I know hate Commando/Akimbo shotguns, and they were most probably added in the game by IW so that scrubs who usually suck in close quarters combat, now can run like idiots all over the map while feeling lethal.

@casey-assassin, Well I play alot of free-for-all and i come across them on a regular basis. The first signs are that you will see big kill steak rewards used early in the game. For instance you might see and AC130 being brought in and your only like 2 minutes into the match. Thats when i check the scoreboards and match up the who has the most kills, (he’s usually in 1st) and the person with the most deaths (He’s usually in last) BOOM! There are your boosters.

Wow, when MW2 gets boring for me, this is a great idea to keep it interesting. Booster hunting is like its own game mode haha If more people start doing this, maybe they will find a different game to ruin for everyone else.

Thanks to these videos I have a renwed love for multiplayer.The last few weekends I’ve done this over and over again,and loved every minute of it.The clincher was playing free-for-all,which useed to be my favorite game,and I encountered the 3 person boosting.How pathetic.I will say this,these noobs are really giving me alot of points per match.In a way I have to thank them.LOL..BTW don’t forget to file complaints after every match against all involved.

who the hell boosts in an open room first of all, unless you’re trying to get a nuke? I don’t think theres anything wrong with boosting/ranking up(whatever you want to call it)as long as you keep it in cage match. You can really thank Infinity Ward though for boosters since everyone ranks up in 3rd person cagematch and what about the prestige glitch and infinte carepackage glitch those were more annoying than anything else and it seemed like IW took there sweet time to patch that up, So my question is now that you have made you’re complaint against Boosters what do you propose the gaming commmunity does about it. Besides that a lot of them have exposed themselves on you tube to show you and yours how to take advantage of IW’s loop hole.
