I honestly don’t think any of you have actually played the campaign… It doesn’t portray RUSSIANS as a bunch of terrorist, because if they were, everyone in the airport would start killing themselves. In the Game they show a GROUP of terrorist that just end up being russian. Ben Laden for example is a “terrorist” so to speak, doesn’t mean that All Afghans are terrorists…. Just means HE is, Saddam Hussein was a terrorist, doesn’t mean the whole if Iraq are terrorists… Talibans are murderers, doesn’t make everyone in Afghanistan freaking Talibans! It even says in the Intro: ” He does not serve a country, he fights for blood” Or something or other. It’s not because Infinity Ward made 5 terrrorist that so HAPPENED to be russians, that it portrayed the whole of Russia as Terrorist. Get out of your little defensive cacoon and realise the truth. Not to be an ass, but George Bush was a Red Neck, doesn’t make all Americans Red Necks… Wake up a bit, it’s a game, it’s not declaring any statements, it’s modern warfare! Just so happens the the developpers of IW thought that the next war would be amongst to Great Nations, The Russians and the Americans, so they developped on that, It’s all there is to it. Wake up people. (I’m not American, or Russian, Just love the game) OH and for those who are saying it’s too violent, you have an option at the start when you want to do a campaign saying that there is a gruesome scene if you wish to skip it, Just say yes and you won’t kill any civilians, how about that?

It’a funny because you’re quoting what I say but not actually hearing it.
I was saying MORE people HAVE pirated MW2 because they don’t want it for the multiplayer, just the single player.
Call it losing money because of piracy if you want but the fact is that they still earn money by publishing on the PC, they just don’t put as much effort into porting it.

You got bashed up by PC gamers as a kid didn’t you? You’re liking this ‘punishment’ of PC gamers by the lack of dedicated servers. I hadn’t exactly thought of it as a punishment, but if it were that would just destroy the developer-gamer relationship, because unfairly punishing people should be avoided at all costs.
Not all PC gamers pirate games FYI.

And before you accuse me of being bias I am a computer and xbox player thank you.

Now if I was loyal to a popular russian-video-game-company that came out with all these cool shooters and then they come out with the most anticipated badass game in the frickin universe and it involves killing my own innocent american friends, I’d be pissed. But its a game. Come on russia! Just take the patch from infinity ward that takes out the level and let your people play Modern Warfare 2!

Hey im puerto rican and in GTAIV there were puerto ricans in the city and i would attack them because i liked theyre threats and what they would say because its funny how good the voice over were and true. so quit crying ppl.

Well, in a fairytale world that would be the main focus of all huge companies, but that’s not the case. Why should IW be kind to PC gamers when they are losing money on all the piracy? IW would most probably not taken that direction if it wasn’t for the case that theres clearly a huge part of the PC community that are pirates. Look at what happened to all the loosers who downloaded the game on the xbox, they got what they deserved. Unfortunatley, IW’s actions punishes both the legit and non legit PC players, if they could only punish the pirates, they would.

That’s clearly something IW had taken account for, before taking such a drastic decision. But the case is, they were already losing a lot of money, ded. servers or not, you can’t fight piracy by being passive.

Robert Bowling has allready stated that the PC community in COD isn’t huge at all, compared to the consoles. By “community” I’m guessing he means the non-pirates.
There were no Prestige or limited/hardened edition for the PC. That alone tells something about how insignificant the PC players are becoming.

I think this is sort of a expirement from Activison/IW. If they see that there are even more pirates this time around, the next step will most probably be not to release games on PC anymore. Don’t be suprised if MW 3 is only released on consoles. Then we will see who shoots themselves in the foot. But then again, this is just guessing from my part, but if I could bet money on my prediction I would. Maybe not with MW3, but definetely in the future, when the PS4 and the new xbox hits the market.

Lol, then the nerds can go back to f**king Counter Strike.
