mapMonkeys Help Test Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Beta
Not much news has come from Infinity Ward over the last week which leads us to believe they are deep into the testing phase of the game. Lets face it, there will be uproar if the game has glitches when released!

![]()
“A community of gamers who have become infatuated with discovering and sharing glitches, exploits, tricks, and strategies found in the video games they play”
Good news for people that hate glitches and glitchers (which is 90% of the CoD community). Also good news for those of us that think having no public beta for Modern Warfare 2 is a bad idea, Infinity Ward are taking measures to deliver a polished product.
IW’s community manager/spokesman had this to say about mapMonkeys via Twitter
402 – “Quick lunch with the Mapmonkeys crew (@ryanmccraw @rishair & Rezzo), then we’re gonna bang on #MW2 muliplayer. Being a pro glitchers pays.”
402 – “Mapmonkeys are the good kind of glitchers. They find exploits & report to us 1st. That behavior should be rewarded! Nextgenupdates good too.”
This is all good but i find one problem, Glitchers that charge people to watch videos of glitches (you have to pay $15 to watch ALL of the video’s on their website) are not the “good kind of glitcher” IMO. That’s not the point here though, if mapMonkeys are the best guys for the job then it can only be a good thing that they have been trusted to weed out those glitches.

noooo, glitching is the only reason i like modern warfare, getting inside rocks is stupid but they should still let you be able to get on top of buildings

hey ‘thinking of dumbasses’, i don’t think getting on top of buildings are glitches unless you are actually doing something that normally wouldn’t be possible like jumping 600 feet in the air

Well I think that they should release a public beta just so us players can tell whether or not the game is even worth buying. Why go out and buy a game if we dont know whats going to be in it (glitches, exploits, etc.) us standard regular players are people who find more glitches altogether than mapMonkeys who claim they are good at finding an exploit in the game to use.

We were offered this chance back in September 2007, but the offer never did stand sadly. Now the chance has been given to these guys…
“Mapmonkeys are the good kind of glitchers. They find exploits & report to us 1st.”
If onyl this were true. In reality, they produce videos and sell it on their website first.
Don’t worry guys, the CoDJumper community, (free of charge) will happily be there to finish finding everything MapMonkeys are fail to do so and will gladly give them the information they require for the inevitable Patch 1.1

Hey guys, this is GODS I GUARDIAN, an admin from mapMonkeys.
I just want to address some of the comments here, so people here get a better idea of mapMonkeys.
@ Dope (CCoD Mapper): This is unrelated to mM, but I just wanted to mention this. If you want to download something so you can tell if it’s worth buying is not a beta, it’s a demo. There is a difference.
Also, and i’m just going to be honest. The chances of regular people running into a game-changing glitch in 4 or 5 days is pretty slim. Why not send people who are really good at the method of finding and identifying where they could be? I am not saying mM is the best possible people to find them, for the sake of not starting a flame war.
@ CoDJumper.com: I find it hard to believe this is the real codjumper. I had respect for you before, but after reading that…
Have you even been to mapMonkeys? As of today we have 2732 videos, of which 624 are premium. If you do the math, you will see roughly 1 out of every 4 videos are premium. That means there are 2108 free videos. We have high standards for glitches to be premium, and with that being said it’s safe to say we don’t just “produce videos and sell it”on our website first. Quite the contrary, we more often produce videos and give them away. All you have to do is signup for a free account.
@ Smiffy: I believe you are just jealous, but who wouldn’t be? I was supposed to go too, but I couldn’t get my schedule to work with it. I am jealous of them. But I got to go to LA last year to Treyarch so it’s not that bad.
Also at your comment that we are pricks. The same could be said about your website as well. There is an admin of your website, madmanmcclinton, that has probably been banned a record number of times on our website. He constantly comes to our website and rerecords the glitches we have in our database, mainly the premium ones, and posts them on your website. This doesn’t really bother me, though, because he has bought premium probably 7 times. More than enough compensation
It also seems that a few other websites are in this sort of “competition” to see who can be the bigger, better website. We’re not in a competition, we do this as a service to other people at the lowest expense as possible. We are just a database with a community, we’re not a profiting business.
And just for the record, and I don’t know how many times I have told people this, we don’t run mapMonkeys to make a profit. We aren’t in this for the money, we don’t get very much. I don’t get paid to be an admin. None of us get paid. All the money that is paid through getting premium is put back into the website, for future updates and fixes. We have our own virtual dedicated server and we constantly go over our bandwidth limit due to growth. We have a lot of expenses to pay, and our only way of doing this is to charge a small one time fee for the really good videos. Our only other option is to put awful, eye-straining advertisements all over the website, but we don’t want to do that to our members. We actually like our members, and we don’t want to drive them away with ad’s.
I hope this short book gave you an insight to the workings of mapMonkeys, and it’s not as bad as some people here make it out to be.

tbh gods how can you say i STOLE your glitches lmao are you really gona beleive that load of s**t from the pathetic members of yours. You know what actually last time i checked i had to provide Rezzzo with a reason to ban be because he didn’t have one you even searched my youtube and it had no premium content on there. SO instead of running your mouth saying i stole your glitches why don’t you get your facts right and ask your pathetic head admin why he had to ban me next time. mM lmao it’s cute

@ CodJumper. You can’t compare our site with yours. Your mainly PC glitches. You find stuff by noclipping and then using your save-position crap. Thats how you find glitches. Theres nothing wrong with it, but when you get there they don’t give you noclip or a save position. This is where the “good glitchers” come in. People with skill, not people that save position, fail, go back to save position, fail, go back to save position (repeat this like 30 times) and then finally get it.

Alright mcclinton settle down, let’s not turn this into a flame war. Let’s be calm and rational about this. I’ll go first:
I didn’t once in my post above did I even mention the word “steal”, “stole”, or any other form of the word. You assumed that was what I was referring to. You know what they say about assuming…
Secondly, whoever told you we banned Iowa Ronin is an idiot. Period. He has never been banned, and as far as i’m concerned he will never be banned. This is mainly for the fact that he rarely comes to the site. We had a situation with him a while back with his maturity, and the website owner had enough of his immaturity and he was downgraded from Administrator to premium. After a little while the webmaster gave him another chance, saying you can either stay premium or be a moderator. Ronin wanted all or nothing, and the owner just couldn’t give him everything, so premium he stayed. He was a co-founder of the website, not the creator or the owner. Mapmonkey built the website from scratch from the ground up, Ronin gave the idea to Mapmonkey. Ronin didn’t create the website, he didn’t put countless days into the creation. He came up with the idea, he told Mapmonkey, and he payed for the first month of the web hosting. That is not to say he didn’t play a big part of the website’s growth, but he by no means created the website. You might want to get all your facts straight before spreading rumors like that. By the way, this is completely unrelated to us going to california, so you might also stay on topic as well.
And as for you being banned, I only have to look at your posts above to see you would be a terrible member.
If you can contain your composure and quit swearing, I would love to debate these topics with you in a different place.
And I also wanted to mention one last thing:
You say you don’t come to our website to steal glitches, and you obviously don’t come to our website for the community because our members are “pathetic”. So why do you keep coming back, exactly?

I’m gonna have to agree with Smiffy to some extent… there are a ton of d**ks on mM, it’s the major reason I don’t go on that site anymore.

The problem is, there is no such thing as a professional glitcher… anyone can glitch and IW decides to go to the people who have the most videos… you MapMonkeys (with all do respect) have VIDEOS of glitches. That doesnt mean u discovered the glitch or found it…
thats like if I had 174,166,184 videos of glitches on cod4 and I only found 2 of them… would that mean InfinityWard could come to me and ask for a beta? Of course

Wow, really. Almost all the cites have the same videos. If they don’t have the exact same video they all most of originated from a single point. That point obviously being mM, because they are the ones who have them. To PROVE my point, If other cites had them first then why would you pay money for something that is the exact same on another cite that is free. Public Beta ruins the hype for a game, unless that game is unheard of or not as anticipated. Look what it did to COD: WaW, it was supposed to be a better COD4 WW2 style, but turned to be worse than COD4, then sales dropped from the expected value (only redeeming part is Nazi Zombies). I am glad IW has mM looking for glitches, they are COMPLETELY FOCUSED on finding the glitches unlike most of us, we usually don’t stumble upon glitches while playing matchmaking(a few do, but in the beta people are trying to find out good guns and a bunch of other things). They look for the glitches and take the cheaters out of MW2, if they do that then I am 100% aboard with them helping with development.

Glitcher.net always has the first glitches on the scene. They have over 5000 video game glitches and have been around for a really long time.
Glitcher.net – 220,000 members
MapMonkeys – 30,000
You do the math of who steals what.
mM even stole a glitch from cp clan called kung fu flip and skydiver and charge to view it.
HAHA What noobs
