Do you fancy yourself as a bit of an expert at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2? Think you have what it takes to battle it out against thousands of other hopefuls? Then Gamestop’s Modern Warfare 2 Tourney may be for you! This is the ultimate chance for anyone looking to prove they are the world’s best Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 player.
GameStop, the world’s largest video game and entertainment software retailer, today announced it will host the world’s largest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Tournament. On Friday, Nov. 20, more than 2,900 U.S. GameStop locations will kick off the player vs. player tournament in-stores on the Xbox 360. Round 2 will be held via Xbox Live, powered by gamebattles.com/gamestop. Players will be competing for a trip to the finals event for bragging rights and a $5,000 grand prize.
The International, online multiplayer tournament will also begin Friday, Nov. 20, on gamebattles.com/gamestop. The tournaments will be played on both Xbox 360 via Xbox Live and PS3 via PSN to determine who will qualify for the semi-finals. The top four teams from each platform will advance to the finals events to battle for their respective grand prize of $10,000.

Look, NOBODY is an expert at this game yet, so it’s presumptuous to even suggest that. There are so many variables involved with all the new landscapes and weapon types that it will be quite some time yet before anyone could rightfully be called an “expert.” Even still, it’s a bit conclusionist to proclaim someone has reached some sort of finality when it comes to ability playing this game.

@FBJ couldn’t agree more. It is very hard to master MP in this game for it is difficult. No one is pro yet and probably wont be for about a month.

Yeah both the above posters are absolutly right. I also think it’s ridiculous to not include PCs in the tournament. With the console’s auto-aim, PC is the ‘expert’ format.
