Back in August Infinity Ward announced a Modern Warfare 2 based comic called MW2: Ghost. Well now, just a matter of weeks before the much awaited game (and comic) hit the shelves, we can bring you a preview of the first issue.

All we have seen of this MW2 art book is a few pages that Infinity Ward showed us in the Prestige Edition unboxing video. Well today some pictures of what is contained within the art book have been leaked!

Yesterday the announcement came that there is a 6-part Modern Warfare 2 based comic series called MW2: Ghost in the works, along with a look at the cover art for the 1st issue. Today we can give you a sneak peak at an early sketch for the cover of the second issue – MW2: Ghost Issue 2.

We can also confirm that Federico Dallocchio is creating the covers with Kevin West doing the art. MW2: Ghost will tie in with the release of Modern Warfare 2.

So far we already have an impressive list of goodies to compliment Modern Warfare 2 and it’s still 3 months until the game comes out! Posters, NVG’s, Custom Controller and accessories and a life size Modern Warfare 2 character have all been confirmed.

Just when you thought there couldn’t possibly be more MW2 memorabilia Activision/Infinity Ward announce another MW2 based product, this time its a Modern Warfare 2 comic series called MW2: Ghost!

The ‘Modern Warfare 2: GHOST’ comic is a 6-part series delving into the, more legend than history, backstory of Ghost. The series takes place before his inclusion in Taskforce 141 and as such before the events of Modern Warfare 2; focusing more on the origins of his character, the mask, and his ‘Ghost’ moniker.

The comic will made by DC Comics and boast an alternative plot line by Eisner award winning American comic book writer, artist, and cartoonist David Lapham who is widely considered to be amoungst the top in his field. This guy is weilding a M4A1 with the Eotech sight and M203 Grenade Launcher attatchments. He was previously thought to be a US soldier, but from this shot you can see what seems to be a British flag on his arm! Here is another shot of him.
