Call of Duty
Released 10-29-03 the first game in the series was developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. This, the first game in the series, was a PC only release.

Call of Duty: United Offensive
United Offensive is a expansion pack for Call of Duty that was released 09-14-04 and developed by Gray Matter Interactive, there was also a version released November 04 for N-Gage.
Call of Duty: Finest Hour
This spinoff of the first game was released 11-16-04 and was available for Xbox, PlayStation 2 and GameCube.

Call of Duty 2
The second game was released 10-25-05 for the PC and 11-15-05 for the xbox 360 Call of Duty 2 is the sequel to the first game. It was developed by Infinity Ward and also made for cell phones and pocket PC.

Call of Duty 2: Big Red One
Released 11-01-05 this was the console only version of Call of Duty 2. Available for Nintendo Gamecube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox.

Call of Duty 3
Released 11-17-06 Call of Duty 3 was developed by Treyarch. This was the first time a major Call of Duty game was developed by a company other than Infinty Ward. It was available for PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox, and Xbox 360.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Released 11-07-07 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was the 4th instalment of the main series and was the first title to be set in modern times. Available for PC, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Developed by Infinity Ward it went on to sell over 11 million copies.

Call of Duty: World at War
Released 11-11-08 this game was developed by Treyarch. Available for PC, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS. World at War was the first game in the series to feature a new side game called Nazi Zombie mode. DLC (Map Pack 1) set a record, selling 1 million units in the first weekend of availability on Xbox live marketplace and Playstation Network.

Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is an upcoming first-person shooter video game from Infinity Ward for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. Officially announced on February 11, 2009, the game will be published by Activision and is due for release November 10, 2009. Modern Warfare 2 is a sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare which has sold more than 13 million copies. As with its predecessor, the game will be set like the title suggests, in modern times.

Modern Warfare 2 is set several years after the conclusion of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Sergeant “Soap” MacTavish, promoted to captain in the Special Air Service, returns as a non-playable character and the head of Task Force 141, an elite, multinational commando unit. The player will take on the role of Sergeant Gary “Roach” Sanderson, a member of the Task Force.

The radical Russian Ultranationalist organization has returned to prominence under the leadership of Vladimir Makarov, a former associate of Imran Zakhaev with his own ambitions. Makarov has publicized Zakhaev’s death as an act of martyrdom to garner support for his cause, enabling him to build a strong power base in Russia over the years. Fearful of Makarov’s growing influence, the global community established Task Force 141 to counter the threat posed by the resurgent Ultranationalists.
