“Shit Just Got Real”
According to his latest tweet, Infinity Wards community manager, Robert Bowling, has
“ Just recieved the first Modern Warfare 2 boxes straight off the press. Shit just got real.”
The interesting thing about this is that after all of the fuss about the “Call of Duty” being dropped from the title and the drop in consumer awareness because of that, the picture posted with this tweet is of the box titled ….. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Infinity Ward have been quoted saying that they left the Call of Duty out of the title because they wanted to ensure people knew it was a direct sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and is not CoD 6. Have Activision put their foot down and made IW keep the title to get the extra sales that the “Call of Duty” brand name will bring?

We have focused our attention on Modern Warfare in order to most effectively communicate the fact that this is the first true sequel in the Call of Duty series. Infinty Ward, the original creators of the Call of Duty franchise, has said from the beginning Modern Warfare 2 resides in the Call of Duty universe. This is reflected in the title’s package.”

i’m gonna miss modern warfare 2, it refreshed the series rather than having it as cod all the time, but i like the cover and i’m fine with cod being back

All the sites that are selling the game do not have the new cover yet. Stop saying that this isnt the real cover. Walmart and Gamestop dont have the real cover yet, thats why there display looks different. And i highly doubt people will call this game Call of Duty 6. Everyone knows it as Modern Warfare 2.

this is to who ever said that esrb rating isnt there they havent rated the game yet and i already know what the game rating is M for mature cause that wat all of the Call of duty games are rated M get some commen sense
