Well I got banned today. I guess all cheaters would say this, but I wouldn’t even know how to start cheating even if I wanted to! So I now have a game that I payed good cash for and for reasons beyond my control I have been kicked from playing in multiplayer mode – and furthermore there’s apparently nothing I can do to get reinstated. Come on, that just can’t be right surely?

steams dectection system is also flawed
ive been so called cheat detected
only had this computer 2 weeks max
with norton latest
started to play a bit of cod 2
its like hack detected i aint hacked i know i cant prove that but why bother writing this
there is know suport for this
and its not like im going to go buy a 100 dollar game if i got banned from no reson
and after looking at the forems id say quite afew other ppl are having same problem
steam will ruin pc virsion games
if it still operates under these dectection system cause thats like bulls**t alot of angry inocent gamers i feel are thinking the same way about this huge steam problem

I left playing Modern Warfare 2 because in 2/3 maps you found cheater fuc-ki-ng the game. It´s a pity.

I totally agree with putting a stop to the cheaters. But sometimes you are wrong! Like in the case of my son.
He does not use cheats! He never has! He was banned! He thinks it was because he used the program xpadder.exe, so he would be able to use a controller with Modern Warfare 2. Well, that dosen\’t sound like a cheat to me & if you consider it to be a cheat, you need to take another look!

Using xpadder.exe doesen’t give him any unfair advantage! He is using a Xbox 360 controller with the
program xpadder.exe for his PC. The controller is used on the Xbox 360 version of MW2!
It is not consider a cheat there and it should not be consider a cheat when used with the PC version.

I have vested alot of money, in order for him to be able to play MW2, on his PC!
Please take another look at his account! I understand you are not responsable for other players
hacking into my son’s system, but I can assure you this is not the case. We have the best Nortons
protection money can buy.

OK seriously make a part in the game where cheaters can play agains cheaters they did that with css and so far there really arent any cheaters play8ing on regualar servers. And you wann aknow something cheater are cheaters its the way they like to have fun so f**k off and let them play the way they want dont ban them because some people hate them.

This plan backfires easily. For example, my friend bought MW2 and played it for 3 hours and got banned. He didn’t hack: in fact he was at the bottom 3 of the current map most of the time. f**king ludicrous.

they can’t stop it they have tried and tried and look at the prestige hack it’s been patched over and and over. Also the spec opp hack and single player mod are STILL NOT patched

Steam are a crock of $hit3… I am one of the innocent ones that does not cheat and one day I go to login to my game and “!!!Cheat Detected!!!” WTF why have I been banned…god knows… I am trying to get steam to unlock my account because I haev done nothing and they will not do anything about it! Why steam will you not do anything about this. Steam has sold $1,000,000,000 or more worth of these games and are banning $250,000 worth of those at a time and telling those users to go and buy a new copy. Revenue raising B@stards! so in fact Steam is not stopping those cheaters they are just telling them to go and buy a new copy so they can cheat some more and get banned again. oh too bad we just made some more money off you but you can go and buy another copy if you want. All I am saying is that I aprove of the anti cheat system but why are permanent bans being applied for first offence this is rediculous. especially if you have not done anything. it even says on thier VAC FAQ page that hackers cause other players to be banned. so beware players if you are playing with a hacker YOU MAY BE BANNED. I think that they should impose a 3 strikes your out system and warn users if there is some sort of cheat being deteced so that the innocent people have a chance to do some thing about it.
